For a guy who was fascinated by Gerard K. O’Neill’s space IsoTowns (lacking modern nomenclature, he called them space colonies), this interstellar IsoTown concept from the film “Dark City” strikes a chord. A diminished chord, but still a chord. Built for spurious purposes by not the brightest aliens in the barrel, this film about their downfall is deliciously dark and weird enough that I still watch it every other month, alternating with “The City of Lost Children.” Not sure what that says about The Usual Suspect.
